BR&P 280, Standard Steel Car, B&O class I-10

Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh Railway (BR&P) No. 280 was constructed by Standard Steel Car Co. in Butler, Pa., in 1923. In 1932 it became Baltimore & Ohio Railroad's (B&O) with their acquisition of the BR&P becoming class I-10 and was renumbered as B&O C2631 in 1935. In January 1974 it was retired by Chessie System & donated to the at the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum. More details on this car is here.

LAL 20 ALCo RS1

LAL 20 is an ALCo RS1. Reportedly: LAL 20 was built in 1949 by ALCo as a model RS1, builders number 76797, Lake Erie, Franklin & Claron (LEFC) 20. It was aquired by the Livonia Avon and Lakeville (LAL) becoming LAL 20. A more detailed history is here.

LV 211 Alco/EMD RS3m (Hammerhead)

LV 211 is an ALCo/EMD RS3m (Hammerhead). Reportedly: LV 211 was built in 1953 by ALCo as a model RS3, builders number 80580, PRR 8445. It was rebuilt in 1979 as “DeWitt Geep” RS3m CR 9920.
Reporting marks and numbers associated with this locomotive include PRR 8445, PRR 5569, PC 5569, LV 211, CR 5487, CR 9920.. A detailed history of this locomotive is here.

NKP 79 ALCo S4, "Eugene Redden"

NKP 79 is an ALCo S4, the "Eugene Redden". Reportedly: NKP 79 was built in 1953 by ALCo as a model S4, builders number 80488, NKP 79, Class ASM-10d. In 1964 it became N&W 2079.
This locomotive was sold to RSA Leasing in Sodus, N.Y. in 1982. They leased it to the Allegheny Southern Railroad in Pennsylvania where it became their number 17. The unit was returned to Sodus in 1985. In September 1987, it was purchased by J. Redden, a private individual and moved to the museum. In 1993 and 1994, it was restored to its original Nickel Plate paint scheme and number. After many years of reliable operation at the museum railroad, the unit was taken out of service and stored by the owner in 2009.
According to: Christopher Hauf, "Donated a few years back to the museum by the owner and dedicated to his Dad, Eugene, who helped maintain the engine for many years before his passing. I had the pleasure of volunteering with both John and Gene for many years."

R&GV 54 GE 80-tonner

R&GV 54 is a GE 80-tonner. Reportedly: R&GV 54 was built in 1952 as a General Electric 80-ton United States Army 1654, serial number 31360. It became Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) 90628. It was rebuilt in 1989 by Chrome Locomotive. It was sold in 1999 and arrived in Industry in 2001. Unfortunately it was damaged in shipment. More information about this locomotive is here.

Rochester Transit 60, Cincinnati Car Co.

Rochester Transit 60 is the sole survivor of the Rochester Subway fleet. It was built in 1916 by Cincinnati Car Co. as New York State Railways 60 for operations in the Utica area. In 1938 it was moved to Rochester for the Rochester Transit Corp. until the end of passenger service in 1956. The car was donated to the Rochester Chapter NRHS. It went to the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum in 1998. More information on this car is here.

USAX 1843 Fairbanks-Morse H-12-44

USAX 1843 is a Fairbanks-Morse H-12-44. Reportedly: United States Army (USAX) 1843 was built in 1953 by Fairbanks-Morse Beloit, Wisconsin as a model H-12-44, builders number 12L667, USAX 1943. It was apparently renumbered to USAX 1843.
In 1993, it was declared surplus by the Army, and acquired by the the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum at Industry in Rush, NY.
