ATSF 3802 is an EMD GP40X. Reportedly: ATSF 3802 was built by EMD in 1978 builder's number 776009-1, as ATSF 3802. It became BNSF 3031.

On Sunday, February 18, 1990, Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe (ATSF) 3802 leads an eastbound train during a snow storm, passed an SP rail grinder, around Tehachappi Loop, Walong, CA.

ATSF 3817, EMD GP50

Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (ATSF) 3817 is an EMD GP50. It was reportedly built in 1981 by EMD as a model GP50, builders number 806006-4. It became BNSF 3170.

ATSF 3821, EMD GP50

ATSF 3821 is an EMD GP50. Reportedly ATSF 3821 was built in 1981 by EMD as a model GP50, builders number 806006-6. It became BNSF 3174.

ATSF 3822 is an EMD GP50. Reportedly: ATSF 3822 was built by EMD in 1981 builder number 806005-7. In 1998 it became BNSF 3175.

ATSF 4039, EMD GP60

ATSF 4039 is an EMD GP60. Reportedly: ATSF 4039 was built by EMD in 1989 builder's number 886012-20, as ATSF 4039. It became BNSF 8739 then BNSF 197.
4039 Leading Stockton Intermodal
On Saturday, February 10, 1990, Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe (ATSF) GP60 4039 leads a westbound intermodal train approaching the diamonds in Stockton, CA.

ATSF 4572, EMD SD24

ATSF 4572 was an EMD SD24. It reportedly was built in 1960, as EMD SD24 ATSF 972 construction number 25882. In 1976 it was rebuilt into SD26 4672. It was retired in 1985 and scrapped.

On Friday, December 28, 1973 Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe (ATSF) SD24 4572 was in a power pool with sister 4564 in Bakersfield, CA.
ATSF 4654 EMD SD26
Santa Fe SD26 4654 and friends are westbound climbing the east side of Cajon Pass on August 11, 1975. About this photo George Andrews said, "The lead SD26 was only 10 months out of its' rebuild in San Bernardino shops. This train, a Westbound by timetable direction, is between Lugo & Summit, CA."
