What does this mean?

It means you can share my photos, that I have already shared here on this website, if you follow these minor guidelines. It's always polite to ask first. But, you do not have to for my photos, that I have already shared here on this website, if you follow these minor guidelines.

There may be some confusion of what this means in the sense of my train photos. Here's what I mean. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Attribution

I would prefer to have attribution in the related text going with the image, or images, that says:

NonCommercial

You cannot charge people to see the images or post them to a book or site that requires payment without getting my permission first. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

No Derivatives

You cannot modify the photos or image files in any way then share them. Lets say your name is John Doe. You cannot add words including things like "From the collection of John Doe" to the actual image, nor can you put your own © or add the word copyright John Doe or a business name or in any other way imply ownership of the image. You may not alter my work. Also, you may not change the format, scan, print, color balance or any any other way change any of my work and share it without permission.

If you have any of my work in another format like negatives, prints and/or slides. I have never sold a slide, but I have traded and even given them away over the years. Most of this was done years before there was an Internet or computers. Just because I have given away a slide, that does not mean in any way have I given away my creative rights to those images. This work cannot be scanned then shared (thus creating derivatives.) Again, If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
