The Genesee Valley Transportation Company, (symbol GVT), based in Batavia, New York, is a holding company for several short-line railroads located in New York and Pennsylvania. It was founded by Jeffrey Baxter, Charles Riedmiller, John Herbrand, Michael Thomas and David Monte Verde who continue to make up its corporate ownership. Subsidiaries:

The red brick building topped with white stone to the left in the background is the Erecting Hall for the DL&W steam engines. It's at the east end of the once sprawling DL&W shops complex. General Dynamics currently operates the building as a government weapons plant.
The white stone building above the second locomotive is the former Lackawanna division office, now a Radisson hotel.
