Muni 50, California Street Cable

Reportedly Muni Cable Car 50 was built in the California Street Cable Railroad Company shops, located in the company's barn at California and Hyde Streets in 1912. Assigned to the O'Farrell, Jones and Hyde line until 1954. In December 1957, No. 50 was transferred by Muni to the California Street cable line.

Muni 51, Cable Car, W.L. Holman

According to the Cable Car Museum's roster, Car 51 was "built by the W.L. Holman Company for the California Street Cable Railroad Company in 1906, after the Earthquake and Fire of April 1906 had destroyed its cars. Holman's shops were located at 18th & Indiana, San Francisco. No. 51 was the last car operated on the former Cal Cable (then Muni) O'Farrell, Jones and Hyde line, in May 1954. Also, No. 51 was the first bottom-grip car to operate in revenue service on Muni's rebuilt California Street cable car line, December 22, 1957."

Muni 57, California Street Cable

Reportedly Muni California Street Cable car 57 was built by California Street Cable Railroad Company in 1914. It was renumbered from No. 57 to No. 11 in Sept. 1957, but changed back to No. 57 the next month.

Muni 1050 St. Louis Car Co. PCC

Muni 1050 is a PCC Streetcar. Reportedly: Muni 1050 was built in 1948 by St. Louis Car Co. as Philadelphia Transportation Company (PTC) car 2119. PTC became part of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). Muni 1050 was acquired from SEPTA in 1992 and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1993. This car is painted to honor St. Louis Public Service Company (SLPS) was the city’s transit operator, acquiring its PCCs in batches of 100 in 1940, 1941, and 1946.

Muni 1051 St. Louis Car Co. PCC

Muni 1051 was originally built in 1948 for Philadelphia Transportation Company, Philadelphia PA, as car No. 2123. The 1051 was acquired by Muni from Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) in 1992 and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1993. This car is painted is painted in the “simplified” green and cream livery that supplanted the famous “Wings” seen on several streetcars in the historic fleet.

Muni 1052, St. Louis Car Co. PCC

Muni 1052 is a PCC Streetcar. Reportedly: Muni 1052 was built in 1948 by St. Louis Car Co. as Philadelphia Transportation Company (PTC) car 2110. PTC became part of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). The 1052 was acquired from SEPTA in 1992 and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1993. This streetcar is painted to commemorate Los Angeles Railway (LARy). Los Angeles ran PCC streetcars from 1937 to 1963.

Muni 1055 St. Louis Car Co. PCC

Reportedly Muni 1055 was built in 1948 by St. Louis Car Co. as Philadelphia Transportation Company (PTC) car 2122. This car wore this livery of green, cream, and red from 1955 to 1968. PTC became part of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). The 1055 was acquired from SEPTA in 1992 and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1993.

This streetcar is painted to honor Cincinnati, which ran PCC streetcars from 1939 to 1951.

Reportedly Muni 1060 was built in 1947 by St. Louis Car Co. as PTC car 2715. PTC became part of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). The 1060 was acquired from SEPTA in 1992 and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1993. It was first painted to represent Newark, New Jersey but was repainted in it's current scheme following an accident.
