My start to this day was delayed by a flat tire. I tried to fix it myself but the lugnuts were on too tight for the wrench I had, so I called AAA. Once I had the spare on I was able to go to the Depot, aka Western America Railroad Museum, to shoot the museum's collection in better morning light. Then I went to a local Firestone where I got the flat repaired.

After that I went back to the motel, packed the car and checked out. Not many trains this day! One last time I went to the the Depot and took more photos after the light shifted a bit.

Then I drove to Mojave. BNSF had most of the sidings east of their occupied with shut down trains. Yes, more work windows! I went to Tunnel 2. It was windy and chilly, so I hunkered down there until they started running trains again.

NOTE: If anything is my "life's work" it's my train photos. — If you scan an analog photo of mine, or if you share a digital photo I took that does not have my photo credit, add something like "Photo by Steve Sloan" directly onto the image. It's not enough to say "Photo by Steve Sloan" in the text caption. People download photos off the Internet/Social Media platform and whatever is in the text does not stick to the photo. Then, they get reshared and that data is lost. I deserve credit for my work.
