On Sunday, April 26, 1981, SP GS4 4449 went from Klamath Falls, OR, to Railfair 1981, the Grand Opening of the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, CA. SP SDP45 3208 traveled with 4449 from Klamath Falls to Tehema.

- Southbound near Dorris
- On Sunday, April 26, 1981, City of Portland owned, former Southern Pacific (SP) GS4 4449 went from Klamath Falls, OR, to Railfair 1981, for the Grand Opening of the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, CA. SP SDP45 3208 traveled with 4449 from Klamath Falls to Tehema. I lost my notes from that trip. On the Shasta Division, likely north of the tunnel at Dorris, CA.

- SP 3208 in Orland
- Southern Pacific (SP) SDP45 3208 is running through Orland, CA on Sunday, April 26, 1981. The crowd is gathered for the GS4 powered train behind the diesel. According to WAF on Train Orders, "3208 was the helper on 4449 and had to wye at Tehama since it was running backwards on the Special."
