BNSF 680 is a GE C44-9W. Reportedly BNSF 680 was built by GE in 1994 as a C44-9W, ATSF 680, builder's number 48159. After the merger it became BNSF 680.

- On Friday, June 9, 2023, BNSF 6872, 4421 and 750 are on the point of an eastbound empty grain train sitting at Fenner, CA, on BNSF's Needles Subdivision, at 5:35 p.m. A westbound 4+0 intermodal train with 8045, 8016, 7219 and 4149 goes roaring past.
