Thursday: Between Lakeville, NY and Rochester, NY

LAL 425 at work

Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad

From Lakeville, NY North to Rochester

Very early in the morning I met Otto again and we set off on a new adventure chasing the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad (LA&L, or LAL). We were in Lakeville at first light and we caught the morning train going to work.

From Rochester, NY south to Lakeville

Between noon and one the crew, and us, went to beans. We grabbed a great sub (we went to DiBella's) and returned with our subs to the tracks. We saw the train again at the crossing at Ballantyne Road. The 425 was in command now as the train prepared to head south.

Back in Lakeville, NY

The train made it back to Lakeville at close to four. It cut off its power and the engines went to the engine house.
