Amtrak FL9 489 on the Hudson Line at Manitou, NY, north of Peekskill, NY, June 30, 1995.
In 2010 Art House said this photo is of, "The Lakeshore Limited, the only Amtrak train on the Hudson line with sleeping cars (a 10/6 sleeper and a slumbercoach are visible in the consist)." TO member "swcrossbucks" said, "The first two pictures are northbound trains @MP 45.5 or so, that have just exited the Fort Montgomery Tunnel and are approaching Manitou Rd. Manitou is still an active passenger station, low level platforms. The southbound Amtrak has just passed Manitou Rd which can be seen in the distance. This shot looks like it was taken a the same location just facing north instead of south. As a note there is now an interlocking that has been installed between the rear of the Amtrak train and the rd crossing. Hope this helps."

NOTE: If anything is my "life's work" it's my train photos. — If you scan an analog photo of mine, or if you share a digital photo I took that does not have my photo credit, add something like "Photo by Steve Sloan" directly onto the image. It's not enough to say "Photo by Steve Sloan" in the text caption. People download photos off the Internet/Social Media platform and whatever is in the text does not stick to the photo. Then, they get reshared and that data is lost. I deserve credit for my work.

You may not use my photos for profit and/or as part of, or to sell, a product or service without my consent.
