CDOT 228, GE P32AC-DM

CDOT 228 is a GE P32AC-DM. Reportedly: CDOT 228 was built by GE in 2001, serial number 52837. Other reporting marks and numbers reportedly associated (by some) with this locomotive include: MNCR 228 and NH 228.

According to Otto Vondrak, "the equipment is owned by Connecticut DOT, but is operated by Metro-North under contract. There are four units painted in tribute to New Haven. NH reporting marks would be incorrect because New Haven/NH went into Conrail and I believe are owned by CSX. I label my slides of this engine CDOT because that's the owner. MNCR is the operator."

NOTE: If anything is my "life's work" it's my train photos. — If you scan an analog photo of mine, or if you share a digital photo I took that does not have my photo credit, add something like "Photo by Steve Sloan" directly onto the image. It's not enough to say "Photo by Steve Sloan" in the text caption. People download photos off the Internet/Social Media platform and whatever is in the text does not stick to the photo. Then, they get reshared and that data is lost. I deserve credit for my work.
