Reportedly Conneticut Department of Transportation (CDOT) 2016 was built in 1960 as New Haven FL9 2044, serial number 21990, order number 3198, frame number 3198-A15. It became PC 5044, before becoming MNCR 5044 then MNCR 2016 and then CDOT 2016. It reportedly survived It reportedly survived, according to Otto Vondrak (in Feb. 2019), "The CDOT 2016 was part of the gang of six auctioned off in 2018, and the 2016 is now at Grapevine Railroad in Texas."
