SP 3147 Alco C630, SP Class AS630-1

Reportedly (sources), according to Strapac's great SP Compendium series, Century 630 SP 3147 was built by ALCo in March 1966 as SP 7805, SP Class AF630-1, construction number 3439-06. It was downgraded to switcher status, becoming SP 3147, SP Class AS630-1, in April 1973. It was sold in June 1979 and scrapped.

SP C630 3147 sits in the PFE facility at Roseville, in what later became the RAMAC shop, on May 27, 1973. On May 12, 2014 this was posted to Altamont Press.
Less than a month before this photo, according to Wikipedia:
On April 28, 1973, 18 boxcars loaded with bombs en route to the Concord Naval Weapons Station began detonating in the Roseville Southern Pacific Railroad yard after one of the cars caught fire. More than 6000 bombs detonated, injuring more than 350 people. The explosions caused damage to 5500 buildings up to 6,800 feet away. The cause of the initial car fire has never been determined.

SP 3148 ALCo C630, SP Class AS630-1

SP 3148 is an ALCo C630, SP Class AS630-1. Reportedly: Century 630 SP 3148 was built by ALCo in 1966 as SP 7807, SP Class AF630-1, construction number 3439-08. It was downgraded to switcher status, becoming SP 3148, SP Class AS630-1, in 1973. It was retired in 1982 scrapped circa 1987.
According to Rich Hunn (on Altamont Press May 11, 2014) 3148 is one of the ALCos that retained transition after rebuilding, "...there were 2 or 3 of both classes which retained transition...3148 was a regular on the Mountain Local."
