SP 3821, EMD GP9R, SP Class EF418E-4
SP 3821 is an EMD GP9R. Reportedly: (According to good sources, including Strapac's fantastic SP Compendium books) SP 3821 was built by EMD in 1959 as GP9 SP 5828, SP Class DF-612, builder number 25128. In 1965 it was renumbered to SP 3691 SP Class EF418-8. SP 3691 was upgraded in 1975 to SP 3821, EMD GP9R, SP Class EF418E-4. It was retired in 1994 and sold to Progress Rail in 1995.
