UP Sulzer at Summit
This was shot at Summit on Cajon Pass on a trip in the early 80's (likely 1982) to Eagle Mountain. It is a pure luck shot of a UP Sulzer on the point of a train at Summit. The man getting off is a (surprise) mechanic.

UP 334 EMD/UP Omaha GP20
In 1973 I was too young to drive too far. But, my parents went to visit relatives in Boise, Idaho. So, I made a side trip to Nampa with my cousin. I was shooting Sears slide film my dad gave me which faded to purple pudding within a few years, and tinkering with a black and white film called H&W Control. This stuff was grainless when developed in H&W developer. It was amazing stuff and that's what these were shot on. Besides having a slow ASA, H&W Control was a film and developer combination, it was a very good film for trains.

NOTE: If anything is my "life's work" it's my train photos. — If you scan an analog photo of mine, or if you share a digital photo I took that does not have my photo credit, add something like "Photo by Steve Sloan" directly onto the image. It's not enough to say "Photo by Steve Sloan" in the text caption. People download photos off the Internet/Social Media platform and whatever is in the text does not stick to the photo. Then, they get reshared and that data is lost. I deserve credit for my work.
