  • At 10:58 a.m. on November 26, 2012 BNSF 4511 leads Amtrak #11 south through Coyote, CA past the old steam era water tank just south of San Jose, CA.
    Image was captured using a Nikon F6 a Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 lens and Fuji Reala Film.

BNSF 4541 GE Dash 9-44CW
  • BNSF 4541 GE Dash 9-44CW leads GEVO ES44DC 7872 on a southbound intermodal train under the signal bridge located at milepost 377, north of Mojave, CA. It is 10:30 am on May 6, 2012. The train had many FedEx vans on it. (Taken with a Nikon D3200 and a TAMRON 70-300 VC lens @ 300mm.)

BNSF 4665 is a GE C44-9W. Reportedly: BNSF 4665 was built by GE in 2000 as a C44-9W serial number 52189.

BNSF 4681 is a GE C44-9W. Reportedly: BNSF 4681 was built in 2000 by GE as a model C44-9W, builders number 52205.

BNSF 4718 is a C44-9W. Reportedly: BNSF 4718 was built by GE in 1997 as a C44-9W serial number 50213.

BNSF 4739, BNSF Designation GE Dash 9-44CW

According to good sources BNSF 4739 was built in Jan. 1998 by GE as a model Dash 9-44CW, builders number 50234, from series 4300-5532.

BNSF 4760 GE Dash 9-44CW

BNSF Manifest in Sand Pass
On June 22, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. a westbound BNSF Manifest had 4760, 6898 and Union Pacific 4670. Kevin Dorn said, "looking at the head end cars it's a PROSTO." The train is at about milepost 400 on UP's line through Sand Pass, Nevada.

BNSF 4772 GE Dash 9-44CW

BNSF manifest at Spring Garden on UP
A BNSF eastbound H-STOPVO manifest with 4772, 7210, 6541 blasts through Spring Garden, CA at 6:00 p.m. on June 17, 2013.
Ted Smith-Peterson said, "So pissed, we tried to set up this train to have a CN unit on the point, but when it arrived into STO we found out it had bad dynos so it couldn't be on point. So we built the power set and had the CN 3rd in consist. Later I found out it was overheating so they removed it completely from this train which I was looking forward to shooting, the M-STOPRV."
According to Andrew Roth on the BNSF this is the H-STOPVO and normally it is the QSTPVJ on the UP, but during the detours it is, or was the QRBPVJ. It's a trackage rights train to Provo.

BNSF 4833, GE C44-9W

According to good sources BNSF 4833 was built in 1998 by GE as BNSF 4833 a model C44-9W, builders number 50687. From series 4300-5532.
BNSF 4833, DPU at Cable
BNSF 7097 (an ES44C4) leads 7236, 8382, CN 5445 (SD60) on a SB (EB), BNSF 4+2 manifest at the Cable Cross-overs at 5:35pm on Friday May 24, 2019. The DPUs were BNSF 6970, 4833.

  • At 4:05 p.m. on May 6, 2012, BNSF 4939, 5438, 775 and 4775 lead a northbound stack train as it approaches tunnel 3 east of Bealville, CA.

At 3:05 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, near Santa Fe and East River Roads north of Riverbank, CA a BNSF Railway (BNSF) 4+2 westbound manifest has 3747, 4979, 3867, 5677 + 7350, 5435 running past blossoming trees.
