This was the last morning waking up in the campsite. As I got up, and went to and from the bathroom, I saw two eastbound no-grainers on the tracks up on the hill across the valley. I could tell the first train had an unusual locomotive. I could tell it was not your normal yellow UP. We decided to chase this train and the other that followed it to Truckee. We got both no-grainers.

There was not much else going on for awhile. After getting coffees, we headed back to Norden. There, while hanging out by the tracks, we met a nice UP police officer.

With nothing moving on the railroad we went back to the campsite and broke camp. We parked my (now packed) car at the gas station near Cisco and went up to the tracks.

We hiked over by tunnel 38 and shot an westbound stack train running on Line 2 coming out of Tunnel 38. Then later we got a meet at Cisco of trains 5 & 6. Then we shot a Westbound Roper manifest, again on Track 2. We went back to my car, said our goodbyes, and I followed the Roper west.

I caught the Roper in Magra. The drive itself was interesting. I saw a truck that had apparently lost its brakes head into one of the gravel pits on I-80. It looked like the whole bottom of the truck was on fire and it was billowing smoke. I should have stopped and got a photo of that!

I went into Roseville on the way home. I had no trouble with traffic on the way home.
