Donner Trip

Trip with Ken Compton

We woke up shortly after sunrise, had cereal and Ken made coffee on his habachi. Yes, on the habachi.

Then we went to Donner Lake and up to Eder, then Shed 47. We spent most of the morning in this area. As the sun got high in the sky we went down the hill and saw a westbound ZG2OA, which we followed to Emigrant Gap.

We spent the rest of the afternoon at Cisco. We could not have done this great adventure without Ken's 4x4, driving and knowledge of the back roads.

After the sun went down we went back to camp for more of Ken's habachi cooking. This time chicken!
