Reportedly (sources) 6031 is a GE AC4400CW, 5982-6081 series, UP Designation C44ACCTE, built in Nov. 2003 builders number 54523.
Sand Pass Coal Train DPU
At Sand Pass Siding, NV on June 23, 2013 at 1:18 p.m. a Union Pacific westbound coal train is powered by 5904, 5756, 8461 and DPU 6031.

UP 6070 GE AC4400CW

Sand Pass Baretables
On June 23, 2013 at 8:50 a.m. a Union Pacific eastbound baretable with AC4400CW 6070 and CSX 5258 at almost MP400 cuts through the searchlight signals in Sand Pass, Nevada.

UP 6159 GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series

According to good sources, including Strapac's fantastic SP Compendium series, UP 6159 was built in 1995 by General Electric as a model AC4400CW, builders number 48494, SP 117, SP Class GF644L-2. It was renumbered UP 6397, then 6165, then 6159.
6159 on a Coal Train
At 7:10pm on Friday, August 2, 2019, an eastbount 3+0 empty coal train at Boca, east of Truckee, has 2769, 6614 and former SP unit 6159 for power. The 6159 is ex SP 117.

UP 6177 GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series

UP 6177 is a GE AC4400CW (AC44CW) in the 6147-6420 series. Reportedly: UP 6177 was built in 1995 by General Electric as a model AC4400CW, builders number 48505, SP 126, SP Class GF644L-2. It was renumbered UP 6177.
Manifest at Hirschdale Road
On Sunday, April 23, 2023, at 4:30 p.m., at the Hirschdale Road Overcrossing east of Truckee, CA, an eastbound UP 3+2 manifest is powered by UP 6177, 5013, 6351 + 5891, 6680.

UP 6201 GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series

UP 6201 is a GE AC44CW (AC4400CW). Reportedly: This locomotive was built as SP 153 in 1995, SP Class GF644L-2, serial number 48532.
UP Manifest at Caliente
Union Pacific Railroad Company (UP) AC44CW 6201 (a former SP unit) leads an 8+1 monster manifest between Caliente curve and tunnel 1 in the Tehachapi mountains of California at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Power on this train was UP 6201, 6163, 7793, 8169, 8197, 7016, 6601, 8608 + 5948.

UP 6236 GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series

Reportedly (sources) 6236 is a GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series, UP Designation C44AC, built in June 1995 as SP 257, SP Class GF644L-2, builders number 54523. It's first assigned UP number was 6535 which it may never have worn.
Patched SP power on Sand Pass
4:06 p.m. on June 22, 2013 6236 (xSP 257) was in a consist led by 6390 (xSP 260) in SP paint leads an eastbound Union Pacific empty coal train in a consist with two former SP units. The train is at about milepost 399 on the UP's Sand Pass line. Power is UP 6390(SP), 6789, 6932, 6236(SP).

UP 6267, GE AC44CW (AC4400CW)

UP 6267 is a GE AC44CW. Reportedly: UP 6267 was built by GE in 1995 as Southern Pacific 217, SP Class GF644L-2. a GE Model AC44CW (AC4400CW) serial number 48487. It became UP 6496, then, 6264, then 6267.

At Logan Hill, WY, on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, is Union Pacific Railroad Company (UP) 6954 and 6267 are shoving on the rear of an eastbound coal train.

UP 6272 GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series

According to good sources, including Strapac's fantastic SP Compendium series, UP 6272 was built in 1995 by General Electric as a model AC4400CW, builders number 48497, SP 301, SP Class GF644L-2.
This locomotive was assigned UP 6917, then 6347, then 6272.
UP 6272 leading a manifest at Mojave
On Friday May 24, 2019 at 8:17am a southbound Union Pacific 3+0 manifest in Mojave, CA had UP 6272 (former SP 301), 7511, 8348.

UP 6273 GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series.

According to good sources, including Strapac's fantastic SP Compendium series, UP 6273 was built in 1995 by General Electric as a model AC4400CW, builders number 48587, SP 226, SP Class GF644L-2.

Patched SP in Canyon
Former Southern Pacific unit. On Wednesday June 19, 2013 at 2:45 p.m. C44AC 6273 (SP) a patched former SP 226 is on a UP westbound grain train with 6814, 6273 (SP) and DPU 8747 and is passing thru Pulga, CA.
Patched SP in Roseville
6273 (SP) is working as a DPU on WB UP Grain Train at Roseville, CA approaching J.R. Davis Blvd. with UP 6452, 7127 and DPU 6273 (SP) at 6:50 p.m. on June 29, 2013.

According to good sources, including Strapac's fantastic SP Compendium series, UP 6296 was built in 1995 by General Electric as a model AC4400CW, builders number 48611, SP 250, SP Class GF644L2. After the merger it was renumbered to UP 6528 then to 6296.
UP No-grainer at the big hole
On Friday, August 2, 2019 near Donner Ski Ranch, at the Big Hole, an eastbound UP empty grain train has 2675, 6296 (ex SP 250) and 7783 as a DPU.

UP 6351 GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series

UP 6351 is a GE AC4400CW (AC44CW) in the 6147-6420 series. Reportedly: UP 6351 was built in 1995 by General Electric as a model AC4400CW, builders number 48775, SP 359, SP Class GF644L-2. It was renumbered UP 6351.

According to good sources 6359 is a GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series, UP Designation C44AC, built in July 1995 as SP 312, SP Class GF644L-2, builders number 47828. It's first assigned UP number was 6928 which it may never have worn.
UP 6359 (SP) in Truckee
At 7:50 a.m. on June 29, 2014 patched Union Pacific 6359, former Southern Pacific 312 an AC4400CW, leads an eastbound no-grainer with UP 5481 at West Truckee, CA - CP RV 205. UP 7107 is shoving on the rear.

UP 6390 GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series.

Reportedly (sources) 6390 is a GE AC4400CW, 6147-6420 series, UP Designation C44AC, built in June 1995 as SP 260, SP Class GF644L-2, builders number 48621. It's first assigned UP number was 6538 which it may never have worn, then 6306, then 6390.
Patched SP power on Sand Pass
4:06 p.m. on June 22, 2013 UP 6390 in SP paint led in a consist of an eastbound Union Pacific empty coal train in a with two former SP units including 6236 (SP). The train is at about milepost 399 on the UP's Sand Pass line. Power is UP 6390(SP), 6789, 6932, 6236(SP).

  • The WB UP Grain Train at the UP J.R. Davis Yard in Roseville, CA. The train is paralleling Atkinson St., crossing over Dry Creek approaching J.R. Davis Blvd. with UP 6452, 7127 and DPU 6273 (SP) at 6:50 p.m. on June 29, 2013.

UP 6461 is a GE AC44CW. Reportedly UP 6461 was built by GE in 2000 as an AC44CW, builder's number 52551.
6690 on a Coal Train
In Victorville, CA on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 8:07 a.m., a westbound Union Pacific (UP) coal train, with UP 6690, 6461, 7786 passes a BNSF local.
