According to good sources Am 203 was built in October 2001 by GE as a model P42DC builders number 53057.
Am 203 in Cisco, CA
On June 29, 2014 at 1:50 p.m. a westbound Amtrak Train 5 with Am 203 leading and another unit behind it and with three private cars, Iowa Pacific's Baton Rouge, Scenic View, Colorado Pine on the rear is in Cisco, CA exiting Cisco Tunnel 38.

AMTK 205 is a GE P42DC. Reportedly: AMTK 205 was built in October 2001 by GE as a model P42DC builders number 53061.

On Friday, August 18, 2017, Amtrak (AMTK) GE P42 205 is leading AMTK 206 on Amtrak train 14 north of Macdoel, CA at 7:45 a.m. It is approaching Shady Dell Rd. near milepost 399.6.

AMTK 252 is an EMD F40HR. AMTK 252 was built in 1977 by EMD as AMTK 252 serial number 777001-23, using parts from trade in SDP40F 565.

AMTK 314 is a Siemens ALC-42. Reportedly: it was built in 2021, serial number CHR 114.

On Friday, March 15, 2024, Amtrak (AMTK) 314 and 207 are leading Number 11 while Portland and Western Railroad (PNWR) 3546 is switching the yard in Albany, Oregon.

AMTK 331 is an EMD F40PHR. Reportedly: AMTK 331 was built in 1977-1978 by EMD as a model F40PHR. Since retired.

According to good sources AMTK 415 was built in 1962 by EMD as UP 910 a model E9A, builders number 27694, UP model designation E9A. It was sold to Amtrak in 1972.

On Saturday, February 16, 1974 Amtrak 415 leads train 6 into Norden, CA. 415 is former UP E9 910.
In the winter of 1973-74 the E-units made a one season appearance on the hill.

According to good sources AMTK 425 was built in 1955 by EMD as UP 948 a model E9A, builders number 20485, UP model designation E9A. It was sold to Amtrak in 1972.

On Saturday, February 16, 1974 Amtrak 425 leads the Reno Fun Train in Sparks, NV. 425 is former UP E9 948 (reportedly sold to Amtrak in September 1972.)

Amtrak 426, former UP E9 UP 956A, was sitting at the 16th Street Station in Oakland on number 6 while a string of refers passed by in 1974.

AMTK 429 is an E9A. Reportedly AMTK 429 was built by EMD as E9A UP 956A in 1955, serial number 20493.

Amtrak (AMTK) E9A 429 is at Port Chicago, CA leading train 711, the westbound San Joaquin, date unknown, in the mid 1970s likely 1974. The train is on the Santa Fe and will soon cross over to the Southern Pacific.

FL9 489 on The Lakeshore Limited
Amtrak FL9 489 on the Hudson Line at Manitou, NY, north of Peekskill, NY, June 30, 1995. Art House said this photo is of, "The Lakeshore Limited, the only Amtrak train on the Hudson line with sleeping cars (a 10/6 sleeper and a slumbercoach are visible in the consist)." TO member "swcrossbucks" said, "The first two pictures are northbound trains @ MP 45.5 or so, that have just exited the Fort Montgomery Tunnel and are approaching Manitou Rd. Manitou is still an active passenger station, low level platforms. The southbound Amtrak has just passed Manitou Rd which can be seen in the distance. This shot looks like it was taken a the same location just facing north instead of south. As a note there is now an interlocking that has been installed between the rear of the Amtrak train and the rd crossing. Hope this helps."

AMTK 503 is an SDP40F. AMTK 503 reportedly was built in 1973 by EMD as a model SDP40F, builders number 72694-4 AMTK 503. According to Bob Finan, "Amtrak SDP40F 503 became F40PHR 282."

Train 11, the Southbound Coast Starlight was caught approaching the San Carlos St. bridge at 10:10 a.m. on May 30, 2013 with AMTK 507 (B32-8WH) and 6 (P42DC).

AMTK 572 is an EMD SDP40F. Reportedly AMTK 572 was built in 1974 as an EMD SDP40F serial number 73683-33. AMTK 572 was subsequently rebuilt into F40PHR 296.

AMTK 603 was built in 1976 by GE as a model E60, builders number 39542, AMTK 964. It was renumbered to 603. In 2004, the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania acquired the 603.

AMTK 670 was built in 2016 by Siemens as a model ACS-64, builders number unknown, AMTK 670. Amtrak Siemens ACS-64 670 was the final unit of that order to be delivered.
