AMTK 23 GE P42

According to good sources, Amtrak 23 is a GE P42DC Serial Number 49342 Order Number 1430 built in November 1996.
AMTK 23 leading 11 into San Jose

AMTK 50 is a GE P42. Reportedly: it was built in 1997 serial number 49588

Amtrak southbound number 11 passes BNSF 2100 and 2132 in Vancouver, WA, at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Power on number 11 is AMTK 50 and 330.

AMTK 66 GE P42 (Heritage Unit)
At 4:05 p.m. on March 11, 2012 the last Reno Fun Train heads west in Rocklin, CA led by Amtrak Heritage unit 66. The sun burst through the clouds at the moment the train came. I need to thank Mike Roqué for turning me on to this great photo location. The sign was especially appropriate for this photo. — in Rocklin, California. AMTK 74, GE P42DC

AMTK 74 is a GE P42DC. Reportedly: AMTK 74 was built in 1997 by GE as a model P42DC, builders number 49612, from series 62-98.

According to good sources, AMTK 87 was built in May 1997 by GE as a model P42DC, builders number 49625.

At 5:02 p.m. on June 27, 2014 a late Amtrak train 5 has Amtrak 87 and 78 for power in Yuba Gap, CA.
AM 112 GE P42
On October 26, 2008 Amtrak 112 is on the point of a rerouted Amtrak train 14 at Bealville, CA. On the rear of the train was two Cal Zephyr private varnish cars.

AM 123 EMD FP7A

According to good sources, including Strapac's fantastic SP Compendium series, AM 123 was built in 1953 by EMD as a model FP7A, builders number 18145, SP 6461, SP Class DF-12. In 1965 it became SP Class EP-415A-5.
This locomotive was sold in 1972 to Amtrak, emerging as AM 123. The locomotive was renumbered 378 in 1976. It was never repainted in Amtrak colors.
The disposition of this locomotive is, in October 1976 the locomotive was sold to EMD and scrapped.

On Monday, March 1, 2021, a southbound train of talgo equipment is near Bailey Avenue, in Coyote Valley in south San José, CA. The talgo equipment is being pulled by Amtrak (AMTK) P42DCs 129 and 172. The talgo equipment is headed to a scrapyard.
